Ormiston Walkathon: Day 2

Ten keen walkers (and one short-distance guest walker) concluded the second day on the road after summiting Schumacher’s Hill and walking roughly 27 kilometres. It was hotter today, and the sun was radiating off the pavement. When Barb wasn’t driving the “Ricky Rocket,” she was spritzing hot walkers with water as they passed by. Lunch was enjoyed at Sugar Loaf, delivered by our trusty support team. Later in the afternoon, a special delivery of popsicles and Creamsicles was a welcome treat after the steady climb. Tomorrow, we’re meeting at the top of Schumacher’s Hill at 7 am for the final stretch. If we don’t see you along the way, we’ll see you in Ormiston around 1!

At 8:20 this morning, CBC Regina called for an interview. We’ll post the link to the interview clip as soon as it’s online.
